About Us

GET IT Nearby is a hyperlocal community platform that empowers neighbours to help each other, share everyday resources, and build stronger connections — all within a 1 KM radius.

Born from the belief that the most powerful solutions often live right next door, our app lets people post what they need — whether it’s borrowing a tool, getting a task done, or buying something pre-loved — and receive responses from nearby users, service providers, or helpful neighbours.

We’re solving four major urban challenges:

  • Disconnected communities
  • Wasted resources and clutter
  • Overdependence on expensive services
  • Lack of trust in local help channels

With secure messaging, verified users, and an intuitive interface, GET IT Nearby transforms neighbourhoods into networks — where trust, affordability, and sustainability thrive.

Our Mission

To reconnect neighbours, reduce urban waste, and build India’s most helpful, trustworthy, and circular neighbourhood network.

Our Vision

To reconnect neighbors, revive local trust, and build the most helpful community network in India — one where people support each other, share everyday resources, and live smarter, more sustainable lives.

We envision a world where:

GET IT Nearby is more than an app —

It’s a movement to make cities feel like communities again.

Our Story

Why We Built GET IT Nearby

It all started with a simple realization:

We live closer than ever, but feel farther apart.

In big cities like Mumbai, neighbours pass each other in elevators without a word. People buy things they use once, while someone just down the street has the same item collecting dust. Elderly people struggle to lift heavy groceries. Parents need quick help with errands. A broken appliance ruins a weekend.

Yet — help is literally around the corner.

The problem? We don’t know how to ask, or who to ask.

That’s where GET IT Nearby was born.

Laxmi Kaushik

our founder saw this disconnect first-hand — living in a buzzing apartment complex but feeling like she had no one to turn to for small, everyday needs. When she wanted to borrow a pressure cooker for a family gathering, she ended up buying one she never used again. That one moment sparked a bigger question:

What if neighbours could become a trusted network again — not just people who live near us, but people who help us?

We imagined a world where:

You could borrow a tool instead of buying one

  • You could hire local help within your budget — no middlemen
  • You could share what you already own and earn from it
  •  You could connect with people just 500 meters away — safely

So we built GET IT Nearby — a platform that brings neighbourhoods back to life
